TESTIMONIALS

My thanks to Thomas Estes and his team for the great work they accomplished in very little time. SNCF and Alstom were very impressed by the documents and data which were provided. I think it is fair to say that the Congressman and his staff were equally impressed yesterday on the Hill. This work allowed us to clearly determine that tunnels had to be built through the Tehachapi mountains!

I worked with Thomas for years on complex environmental issues. His critical strategic insights, his thoughtful environmental messaging and his communications skills were essential to the success of many regional initiatives. Our work together on the Bay and Walton County Watershed Plan and Ecosystem Management Agreement is a legacy of positive ecological and economic outcomes.

I am writing this letter as my strong endorsement for Thomas Estes as a natural resources and environmental consultant. I have known Thomas for the past eight years and had the pleasure of working with him on numerous occasions that have included complex development projects and mitigation banking, involving interaction with both state and federal permitting agencies. Thomas has excellent project management skills that have proven invaluable during the planning, designing, and permitting phases of projects. In addition to being a great biologist, Thomas has repeatedly demonstrated a detailed understanding of the regulatory and economic components of project management. Thomas’ ability to understand the interrelationship between the biology, regulations, and economics of a project distinguishes him from most other consultants. He is articulate and his even demeanor makes him and excellent expert witness, whether before a public board or a court of law.

Icarus is responsive, understands customer service, and are experts at negotiating the regulatory structure. They understand the nuances of Section 10, SSL, and water-dependent activities – the lifeblood of marinas and boatworks.
