ANN AMICARELLE

Ms. Amicarelle is a project manager at Icarus Ecological, with 10 years of experience in natural resource inventory assessment, permitting and mitigation. As a former regulator (Environmental Specialist) at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), she has expertise in mitigation site selection as well as balancing the pros and cons of a variety of mitigation methodologies. Ms. Amicarelle successfully manages development projects requiring dredge and fill permitting, marina permitting, State Lands authorizations, wetlands compensatory mitigation, ecological assessments and jurisdictional wetland determinations.

 

Ms. Amicarelle effectively manages client contracts and project budgets, while supervising and coordinating the daily operations of a team of project ecologists specializing in Clean Water Act Section 404, Section 10 and state wetland permitting projects. Permitting projects focus on wetland impacts and mitigation, wetland jurisdiction assessments, threatened and endangered species inventories, submerged habitat assessment, and secondary and cumulative impact analyses. Ms. Amicarelle has effectively conducted all aspects of the environmental evaluation and permitting processes from initial site assessment, wetland delineation, coordination with client/engineer for wetland impact and mitigation planning, regulatory agency meetings, permit application preparation and submittal, permit finalization prior to issuance and coordination/monitoring of required mitigation activities. She has also worked effectively as a liaison between the regulatory agencies and public or private interests, and to resolve all regulatory issues prior to permitting, including threatened and endangered species and public concerns regarding developments.

 

Ms. Amicarelle holds a BS in Biological Sciences, Marine Biology and Marine Resource Ecology from FSU and lives in Panama City.
